2022
MLB MVP Futures
With a quarter of
the 2022 MLB season gone, the race for the American League and National League
MVPs continues to heat up.
The Angels Shohei
Ohtani and the Phillies Bryce Harper, last year’s MVP winners, are still among
the leading favorites to capture the award in 2022.
Here’s how each race
is looking as the MLB season heads into the summer. We’re here to help you when
cashing in on current MLB betting trends.
Ohtani
Favored to Repeat
The Angels star
hasn’t quite gotten completely into the groove at the plate, but he is still
batting .249 with 11 home runs and 32 RBIs.
On the mound, Ohtani
just had his worst start of the season which pushed his ERA up to 3.45. He is
3-3 on the season and has 12.8 strikeouts per nine innings.
Ohtani is still
favored to repeat as the AL MVP at -125 odds. These are not great odds when
looking at MLB futures value.
Judge
Crushing the Ball
The Yankees Aaron
Judge continues to lead the majors in home runs with 18. He is batting .303 and
has a team-high 38 RBIs.
With teammate Giancarlo
Stanton out with an injury, Judge will have even more opportunities to pad his
stats.
If Judge continues
on his pace, he could capture his first-ever AL MVP. That would offer bettors a
nice payout at +300 at America’s Bookie. The 2022 MLB MVP
futures races will be a fun ones to watch.

Another
Angel Watching
Ohtani isn’t the
only Angels player among the AL MVP favorites. OF Mike Trout has three MVP
awards to his name already and a fourth is possible.
Trout is batting
.302 and is fourth in the majors with 13 home runs. The Angels are battling
Houston for control of the AL West.
Should the Angels
finally make the playoffs, Trout could have a fourth MVP which is currently
priced at +400. Are you live betting MLB games? It’s super
exciting and can be very profitable.
NL 2022
MVP Futures Favorites
Manny Machado (+350)
and Mookie Betts (+350) are locked in a duel as favorites to win the NL MVP. Machado
started fast out of the gate this season while Betts had a great April.
Machado is hitting
.344 with eight home runs and 29 RBIs for the Padres. Betts hits .306 with 16
homers and 35 RBIs for the Dodgers. Both teams are locked in a battle for the NL
West crown.
Baseball isn’t the
only game in town during the summer this year. There’s lots of action during the dog days of summer.
Rising
NL Gold Star
Earlier this season,
it was St. Louis Cardinal Nolan Arenado who was the NL’s Player of the Month
for April. Arenado wasn’t as good the following month and has fallen to +1600
odds.
His teammate, Paul
Goldschmidt has been on fire though. He had a 21-game hitting streak and he’s
now batting .353 with a team-high 11 homers and 43 RBIs, which ranks third in
the majors.
As a result,
Goldschmidt is right behind Machado and Betts. You’ll find them at +450 on the
betting board at most offshore sportsbook futures lists.
Will
Harper Repeat?
The universal DH
rule helped salvage Harper’s season. An arm injury won’t allow Harper to throw,
but he is able to help the Phillies at the plate.
He is batting .303
with 10 home runs and 32 RBIs. Last year, Harper hit .309, hit 35 homers and
had 84 RBIs. He’s on pace for 35 dingers again and he’s on track for over 100
RBIs.
Harper (+900) and
the Mets Pete Alonso (+500) are the only other NL stars given better than +1000
odds to win the MVP award.
