Mariners at
Indians Betting Preview – Sunday, June 13
The Seattle
Mariners are in Cleveland this weekend for a matchup with the Indians. The
biggest game of this series is on Sunday, at least in the minds of Indians
fans.
This could
be an interesting matchup all weekend, but the Indians will be favored Sunday.
Both teams have been better than expected this season, but the year is still
young.
Seattle is
still struggling to get to the .500 mark, but they have shown signs of promise.
The Mariners have some young talent that could be a problem for opponents in
the future.
MUST READ: WHY
ARE SPORTS SO HARD TO PREDICT
Cleveland
is trying to keep pace with the Chicago White Sox in the AL Central Division.
The Indians have done well so far in 2021, but there are still some weak spots
on this team.
Offense A
Struggle For Seattle
Seattle has
one of the worst offenses in baseball this season, hitting under .210 as a
team. That means that they don’t get runners on pace and don’t put pressure on
opposing pitchers. Stats coming from America’s
Bookie show the Mariners’ OVER record at 31-30-3. They’re obviously
giving up a ton of runs.
Rookie
sensation Jarred Kelenic is already starting to slump, and that’s a big hole in
the middle of the lineup. Kelenic will figure it out eventually, but it’s not
going to happen this weekend.
Mitch
Haniger leads the team with 14 home runs entering June 10, and Kyle Seager has
39 RBIs. Those two veterans continue to produce, but they need some help.
Logan Allen
starts for Seattle on Sunday, and he is another pitcher looking to turn things
around. Allen is just 1-2 with a 4.98 ERA so far in 2021.

Indians
Have Pitching Edge
Shane
Bieber is scheduled to start on Sunday, and that is always good for the
Indians. It’s also gone well for cappers offering premium
picks over the last couple years. Bieber has gone
7-3 with a 2.96 ERA, and he can completely shut down an opponent.
The Indians
bullpen has struggled at times, but Bieber will likely take care of this one on
his own. Few pitchers throw as hard as he does, and this could be one of his
best starts of the season.
Cleveland
is another team that struggles to score, but not as bad as Seattle. The Indians
are led by Jose Ramirez, and he has started to really heat up in June.
Entering
June 10, Ramirez leads the team with 14 home runs and 35 RBIs. Cleveland
doesn't have a ton of power in the lineup, and that will need to change moving
forward.

Bieber,
Indians Beat Mariners
Having
Shane Bieber on the mound gives the Indians a major advantage in this game. He
continues to be one of the best in baseball, and he is not facing a strong
lineup.
It’s hard
to see Seattle scoring many runs at all on Sunday, and that is going to be a
major issue for the Mariners. They just don’t have a pitching staff capable of
shutting down the Indians.
Cleveland
will have to score some runs, but they won’t need a big offensive performance
on Sunday.
Look for
Bieber to pitch well and for Cleveland to pick up the win on Sunday.
